Blacklist is a new play written by Chileya Mwampulo and produced by the Mercury Theatre.

In the midst of civil unrest, four black teenagers are thrust into chaos and violence. Facing bloody consequences, they grapple with intense discussions about race, justice, and their place in a divided society. This gripping tale explores their resilience and the harsh realities of systemic racism.

The play is physical, poetic and has Bantu and Zulu influences.

Join us for an interactive workshop, led by Chileya Mwampulo, in the Lakeside Theatre Studio.

With Chileya and Marc, you’ll read an extract from Blacklist, workshop the script, develop scenes, and take part in a group discussion. You will also have the opportunity to create your own work inspired by the extract, and explore the creative process of theatre-making.
