A sixtieth birthday party is underway for Helge, the patriarch of a well-to-do family. The son rises to give a few words. He asks the guests to choose between two prepared speeches. The speech they decide to select, he declares, is a “truth speech”.
Join the family as their evening unfolds, as truths begin to be told, accusations are made, and the void left by a recent death in the family threatens to swallow them whole.
This production is proudly presented by the University of Essex Theatre Arts Society as their Refreshers Show.
