THE RACE TO THE WHITE HOUSE

Thu 10 Mar

This month’s Super Tuesday primary and caucus elections for U.S. president brought good news for Trump and Clinton, more questions than answers for the Republican Party and likely an end to the campaigns of Kasich (who?) and Carson (who?).

But what does it all mean? Are we bound for a Clinton-Trump general election? Can the Republican mainstream agree on a candidate that can stop Trump from winning the Republican nomination? What are the implications for the Supreme Court vacancy and pending Supreme Court rulings on affirmative action, public unions, abortion and Obamacare?

Join us on 10th March, when the UK’s top-ranked Department of Government will host a roundtable to address these and many other topics on the U.S. presidential election. The panel of experts will include Dr Gina Reinhardt, Professor Tom Scotto, Dr Patrick Lown, and Andrew Naughtie, Politics and Society Editor  at The Conversation UK.
