Lela Burbridge graduated with a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Essex in 2013
Lela will be sharing the lessons learned in her book ‘Lela: Ashes of Childhood’ which journeys through her formative years in Uganda as a child before moving to the United Kingdom as a teenager.
Most of her work as an author is rooted in her unwavering passion and philanthropic appropriate to life. She supports the Rafik Thabo Foundation which empowers young people through education to fulfil their potential and initiate positive change in their communities to eradicate poverty.
Lela represents what it means to have an Essex spirit to not only be inspired but to be an inspiration for generations to come.
Lela joins us to discuss her life before, during and after Essex that led to her career as a formidable author.
