Explore the effects of ‘place’ in your writing.  Have you noticed how characters speak differently when you set a scene in an exterior location?  How important is a sense of place to the atmosphere and overall feel of your play?  Can place even become a character in your play?  In this interactive workshop, led by Lakeside Theatre Associate Artist Andrew Burton, we will look at the different ways in which place can impact on the play/s you are writing, and during the session we will do a writing exercise inspired by your own memory of a resonant place.
